The AAU 2018 Marie Curie Talent Course aims at attracting international talented young researchers.
17.05.2018 kl. 08.00 - 18.05.2018 kl. 15.00
The course is an opportunity for talented young researchers to get support with their application. They will be invited to AAU, be introduced to their supervisor and host group, and focus on their application.
To attract more talented international young researchers to AAU and to boost the number of grants awarded by Marie Skłodowska-Curie actions under the Horizon 2020 programme, F&P will arrange a Marie Curie Talent Course, May 17-18, 2018. The course is intended for the Marie Skłodowska-Curie Individual Fellowships applicants with AAU as host institution.
MSCA Individual Fellowships support individual researchers at postdoctoral level and beyond to work on a research project of their own design – all fields may be funded – that advances their careers. Mobility between countries is required. MSCA-IF has no requirements regarding nationality or age. On the other hand, applicants are required to have a minimum of 4 years of research experience or a PhD degree. The typical applicant has some postdoctoral experience, but this is not a competitive parameter.
We are looking for AAU supervisors with an excellent research track record and high quality candidates pointed out by the supervisors.
To attend the AAU 2018 Marie Curie Talent Course, AAU supervisor’s should contact potential candidates and ask the candidates to fill in the enclosed motivation and information letter template. The Motivation and information letter template should be submitted by the supervisor. Ask the candidates to register online to express their interest in participating in the course.
Please note: a strict mobility rule applies (the candidate must not have lived, worked or studied in Denmark for more than 12 months in the 3 years immediately before the application).
The deadline for registration and submission for Motivation and information letter template is March 9, 2018.

The course is a training program for younger researchers planning to apply for the Independent Research Fund Denmark’s (DFF) upcoming application deadline October 2018. The training aims at further developing the candidates’ knowledge, skills and competencies in writing competitive research proposals for fundraising as well as support a real application submission. The training program consists of a combination of the candidates’ own work on the application, participation in joint workshops, where hands-on work and experience will be shared in groups under supervision, and formal lectures with instructions for the work to be done. The participant must accept to work with his/her proposal in the given timeline of the course and must be willing to share ideas, draft proposals, reviews and rebuttals produced as part of the course with fellow participants. For AAURA talent training it is advised that a dedicated mentor is appointed to support the trainee’s work in between the training program’s workshops.
